The third and final part of the Pop Culture Time Warp documentary series will be released on the 23rd. June digital and on request. Time distortion: The best cult films of all time are Tom. 3 : Comedy and Camp conclude this fan-favorite series with an explosion of cult laughter and some of the most shocking comedy moments in film history. Today we see the highlight of this extensive three-part documentary series with an exclusive clip featuring legendary comedy actor John Cleese taking fans behind the scenes of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which came out in 1975, is literally considered by some to be the Holy Grail of comedy. It is therefore very interesting to hear John Cleese talk about his experiences while making this film. He praises his co-stars and co-directors of this comedy classic, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, but he doesn’t praise himself or his other buddy of Monty Python, Eric Edl, in heaven.
When we started, we thought we had some really funny stuff. And also the two terry’s that managed it together have an enormous energy. And selflessness. Where Eric and I are lazy bastards who get away with as little as possible.
As we learned in the video, the Monty Python and the Holy Grail were funded by three rock bands. And they’re quite emblematic in themselves. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Genesis are super fans who have invested in the creation of this iconic classic. Just because they wanted him to play on the big screen. There’s no other reason. John Cleese goes on and on about the financing of the film by the rock bands.
Someone has discovered that the British government has just passed a law to promote British cinema. Which was kind of a tax evasion.
Our exclusive clip comes straight from Time Warp: The best cult films of all time are Tom. 3 : Comedy and Camp, which will make its debut next week on demand and digitally.
